MSP-AIT-AESD Projects
- Title : Handheld Smart Card Reader for Cafeteria Access Control System.
Duration : 3 Months
Team Size : 4
Description : The objective is to implement handheld smart card reader for cafeteria
access control system. Whenever the smart card is inserted first the
authentication of the user is done with the help of pin-pad interface and
then access is given. The money will be deducted from smart card
according to order given by user. The data transmission between smart
card and microcontroller is provided through smart card interface IC
TDA8020HL.
Hardware : Atmega32, TDA8020HL, 16X4 LCD, 4X4 keypad.
My Role : Requirements gathering, functional designing and implementation (coding).
- Title : Auto Dialer
Duration : 3 weeks
Team Size : 2
Description : It is a device that will call to a preprogrammed number automatically and
place the message that has been prerecorded in it. Hook switch is used to
make the telephone off hook automatically, the telephone goes off-hook
the loop between the exchange and the telephone is complete. Now the
number which is stored in memory is dialed. Once the call is setup the
message that is recorded on the chip is placed on the telephone line. The
confirmation is achieved by asking the user to press 1 on his keypad.
Hardware : 89C51, DTMF dialer TP5089, DTMF decoder CM8870, recorded voice
generator ISD1420, opt isolator MCT123.

B.E. Project:
: Accidence Avoidance System
: 6 months
Team size : 3
Description : The objective of this project is the prevention of accidents on roads and
in coal mines. It consists of two DC motors which require a supply of 6 volts. 16F72 requires only 3volts supply & other benefit is that we can control up to 20 different circuits by it. The instruction set of this microcontroller consist of only 35 instructions. It is basically designed for accident prevention on roads as well as in coal mines.
Hardware : 16F72 Microcontroller, IR detector, Metal detector, Smoke detector.
My role : Requirements gathering, functional designing and implementation (coding).
Areas Of Interest : Microcontroller, Protocols (CAN, I2C,SPI, Smart Card Transmission
Protocols), Automotive Embedded Systems, Smart Cards.
