Oracle Demand Planning is a Web-based application that enables organizations to produce unconstrained forecasts for future demand and generate tactical, operational, and strategic business plans. Demand Planning captures and processes information from multiple sources and consolidates demand so that it can be summarized by item, product line, region, time, and organization

Project mainly involves the standalone implementation of Oracle Demand Planner v 11.5.10 which includes four Business units spread in three different regions (America, Asia Pac and Europe)

The main objectives of the implementation are :

  •  Facilitate accurate and rapid planning cycles
  •  Provide Global visibility of demand
  •  Develop and provide accurate component level demand forecast to external vendors and

  •  Implementation of Movex ERP across Cummins Inc.  (Onsite - UK/HK)

Movex implentation in Cummins Inc. is an umbrella project which involves implementation and Production support of Movex ERP in Europe (UK, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Holland) and South East Asia (Singapore, Philipiness, Japan,. Korea, Hong Kong, China  and 9 other Regional offices in China).

Movex rollouts in Cummins are through Cummins IDPO (Cummins Internation Distributor Program Office) which  operates in three locations Wellingborough, UK, ODC at iGATE Global Solution, Banglore, India and ODC at KPIT, Pune India.

Cummins IDPO is solely responsible for implementation of Movex ERP for its Engine Distributors and Power Generation Companies worldwide.

Role / Responsibilities in the Projects with iGATE Global Solutions

  •  Current role in the project is as a Business Consultant (Distribution and Logistics), leading the onsite and offshore team to work together and achieve the deliverables, defect free and on schedule.
  •  Studying the Business requirement and processes of the client and preparation of scope documents.
  •  Suggesting beneficial changes in the business processes based on the above study and Re-designing the business processes.

  •  To understand Movex in totality, and define and configure Camlin's Business Processes in Movex with Intentia Business consultant and to carry out modifications in the system if required.

Ageing of AR/AP. Generating MIS reports such as Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet including Comparative reports of current financial year and previous financial year. Generating Budget reports too, with comparison of Actual verses Budgeted figures Annually / Quarterly / Monthly.
