Hardware Used:
Philips LPC2129 kit (ARM7TDMI Core)
Description:
This project is done as a part of CAN Network Analyzer for Philips LPC2129 kit ( ARM7TDMI core). This CAN driver initializes both CAN controllers, transmits and receives messages from each CAN controller with two software buffers. Whole application is running on UCos-ii RTOS.

Implementation of CAN protocol on PIC18F458 microcontroller
Duration:
3 Months (Nov 2006-Jan 2007)

Tools and programming language used:
Embedded C, MPLAB 7.5 IDE and c18 cross compiler (Student edition)
Hardware Used:
PIC18F458 Microcontroller with on chip CAN support, MCP 2551 CAN Transceiver, Temperature Sensor LM35, LCD JHD135A (16 X 2), Keypad (4 X 4), voltage regulator IC 7805.
My Role:
Implementation (Coding)
Description:
The objective is to design a prototype for a PIC18F458 based CAN module which is capable to communicate with other CAN enabled module with any platform using CAN network. For demo of project we made three CAN enabled PIC modules communicating with each other using CAN network. One module is interfaced with keypad (4x4), second module is interfaced with LCD and third module is interfaced with temperature sensor. If particular key pressed then module with temp. Sensor receives it and transmit temp. data on CAN bus. Module with LCD receives that temp. data and display on LCD. If any other key is pressed then module with LCD display message “invalid key”.

Distance measurement using Ultrasonic sensors (AT89c51)
Duration:
1 Month (October 2006)
Team size:
2 members
Tools and programming language used:
Embedded C using Keil Vision2 for AT89c51
Hardware Used:
AT89c51, T40-16 and R40-16 ultrasonic sensors, LM324
My Role:
Requirements, Coding
Description:
Ultrasonic sensors are used to measure the distance of the object. Ultrasonic transmitter and receiver are connected to AT89c51 Microcontroller. The sensors use the echo of an ultrasonic signal for distance measurement. This technique quantifies the time the signal takes for a round trip and calculates the distance to the object accordingly.

Tools and programming language used:
Embedded C using AVR Studio 4
Hardware Used:
AVR atmega32, MAX232, Keypad (4x4)
Description:
For this project keypad (4x4) is interfaced with the AVR Atmega32. AVR microcontroller is interfaced with the computer through UART. Keypad is used to enter the password. Whenever password is matched with default password which is stored in microcontroller it will display message of access to the system on hyper terminal of computer through UART and allow to change the default password otherwise it display message of access denied.

Project under progress:
Title: Web based control and monitoring system for CAN nodes
Tools and programming
language used: uClinux Source code, arm-elf tool chain for Linux, Embest IDE, Samsung (S3C4510B ARM7TDMI) AX4510B board, PIC18f458, Keypad, LCD, TEMP. Sensor
Web based control and monitoring system offers multinetwork integration, real time operations and cross platform (Ethernet CAN Gateway) solutions. The commanding message is received from long distance connection and sent to the local controller area network (CAN) nodes to perform required operations. Status information for local controller area network (CAN) nodes is gathered from individual nodes and sent back via long distance connections.

My Role:
Requirements for Project, Coding, Interfacing with Sensor (Signal conditioning)
Description:
LDR sensor and stepper motor are connected to the Microcontroller through signal conditioning and driver circuit. LDR senses the intensity of sun at different moving location of motor and varies its voltage according to intensity. When it gets maximum intensity, stepper motor stops moving.
